St. Kitts Weather

Weather on St. Kitts Nevis is enjoyable year round

Cool Breeze

With a soothing combination of sunlight and warm sea air, St. Kitts and Nevis are ideal vacation spots any time of the year.

Temperatures on both islands are tropical and moderate year-round. The average air temperature on the islands is between 78 to 88 degrees Fahrenheit throughout the year. The extreme high temperature is approximately 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and the extreme low can dip to 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Ninety five degrees may seem hot to most, but the islands experience low humidity and are cooled by northeast trade winds, which make the high temperatures very bearable. Higher altitudes, especially in winter, see cooler weather.

Tourists tend to visit the island more from Dec. 15 to April 14 when weather in northern countries is at its worst. Most travelers bring their coolest light-cotton clothing to dress for the warm temperatures on the island.

St. Kitts and Nevis are in the hurricane belt, which could mean rain and high winds during hurricane season, which is from June to the end of November. If visiting the islands during this time of year, tourists should pack adequate rain gear, even though hurricane season may not always indicate heavy rains will fall.

The rainy season on St. Kitts and Nevis is not drastic. The islands receive the most precipitation during the late summer and fall months. Usually, the average rainfall is only approximately 55 inches annually.
