Customs procedures on St. Kitts and Nevis are not complicated, and passing through is generally a swift and efficient process if you are prepared. Requirements are few, and visitors are allowed duty-free entrance with their personal items.
Officials sometimes check luggage for drugs because of occasional patterns of attempted import and export of illegal substances, but this is usually rare.
Although vacationers may enter the islands with personal belongings duty-free, some restrictions are placed on the amount of certain items that can be brought into the country.
Visitors are permitted to bring up to 200 cigarettes and 100 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco
1.136 liters of wine and spirits can be brought to the island
Travelers may bring up to 170 ml of perfume to St. Kitts or Nevis
Visitors who are returning to the United States will face these restrictions on items that can be brought back duty-free:
200 cigarettes or 100 non-Cuban cigars can be brought into the United States
Travelers 21 years of age and older can bring up to two liters of alcohol as long as it was made in a Caribbean Basin Initiative country
Gifts may be mailed abroad as long as only one package per day is sent one addressee; packages may not contain tobacco, alcohol, or perfume totaling more than $500(USD)
